Call for Art: Juneteenth 2022 - Free and Empowered

The Northeast Louisiana Delta African American Heritage Museum is planning an art festival for the 2022 Juneteenth celebration. The theme is "Juneteenth 2022: Free and Empowered." The festival's focus will be on the region's young and not so young, lesser known and unknown artists.

Lesser-known artists should enter their work to be considered. There are four categories for entry: Elementary, Junior High, High School, and Adult. All submissions must be received by Friday, May 27, 2022, at 4 p.m. at 1051 Chennault Park Drive, Monroe, LA to be elegible.

If selected, participant's artwork will be displayed at the museum from June 1-30, 2022, regardless of whether the artist places or not. The public will be able to view the submissions during normal museum hours. Awards will be given in all categories.

The public will determine winners of the public choice awards by a vote through ballots purchased for $1 each (one vote per ballot). Registration forms are available at the museum.
