This is the Strauss Theatre's first ever streaming production. As Strauss approaches its 10th decade of continuous years of entertaining, the global crisis has forced the theatre to look alternative ways to keep working. Belles, a two act play and 39 phone calls, written by Mark Dunn, will be a fully staged island presented online. Belles takes place in the 1980's and centers around six "very southern" Walker sisters dealing with unhappy childhood memories and an aging mother. Only the eldest sister still lives in Memphis, the others have "escaped" to other parts of the country. More than physical distance, the sister find themselves emotionally distant as well. This show is free to Members from last year and members of this season coming up. Tickets are $15 for non-members.
