Hardship and Discovering Hope In "A Torn Rose"

courtesy

It seemed it would be an ordinary day, but turned out to be the beginning of a mystery.  Author Eddie Mae Rose, of Rayville, shares the true, compelling story in A Torn Rose.

Rose was to be discharged from the hospital.  She awaited her husband to pick her up, but he never arrived.  His disappearance led to many questions and heartbreak.  Rose took comfort in her children and guiding them through such a difficult time.

"I cried til I could cry no more," says Rose.  "My children and I often talked about what might have happened, but were never sure," she said.

Her journey and questions continued as she kept hope in finding answers to the disappearance.

Rose hosts a book-signing event on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at Cafe Expresso on Cypress Street in West Monroe.
