(Ouachita Parish) – On August 13, 2024, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Jamarion Jalil Godfrey on four counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder. The arrest was the result of a shooting that occurred on Burg Jones Lane in Monroe, on August 12, 2024. An 8-year-old child seated in a vehicle with his mother and two other occupants was shot in both legs. The child was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing as we are attempting to identify other suspects involved.
