...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT TODAY...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of Arkansas, Louisiana, and east Texas, including the
following areas, in Arkansas, Columbia and Union. In
Louisiana, Bienville, Caldwell, Claiborne, Grant, Jackson, La
Salle, Lincoln, Natchitoches, Ouachita, Red River, Sabine,
Union, Webster, and Winn. In east Texas, Sabine.

* Until noon CDT today

* Showers and thunderstorms will continue pushing east across
Southwest Arkansas, North Louisiana, and extreme southeast
portions of East Texas. Rainfall amounts of one to three inches,
with isolated higher amounts, will be possible through noon
Thursday before the rain diminishes from west to east. As a
result, localized flash flooding will be possible.

* Heavy rainfall may lead to flooding of low-lying and poor
drainage areas, as well as flooding of rivers, creeks, and
streams.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
