Downtown Monroe
B. Lenox / KEDM

A downtown renaissance is happening in Monroe and West Monroe. New businesses are flocking to once vacant buildings and food and night life are following. KEDM's Policy and a Pint took a look at what is encouraging investment our downtowns and how to market what we've got.

Our expert panel joined a live audience at Trapp's in West Monroe for a lively discussion.

At a time when reliable news has never been more important, KEDM has remained a relevant, trustworthy source for you, and we want to stay that way.  We strive every day to continue to bring you the great music and informative programming that you deserve, and now we’re asking for your help.

This month we’re asking you to raise your hand and volunteer to do something you may have never done before -- become a sustaining member of the station you listen to every day.

Research shows that one in three young people will go through an abusive or unhealthy relationship. 90.3 KEDM's Policy and a Pint: Dating Violence Prevention looks at those issues with a panel of local experts. The live radio discussion was recorded Tuesday, March 6 at Planter's Gastropub at 101 North Grand Street in Monroe.

Panelists include Daryl Johns from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office, Melanie Clark from the Wellspring Alliance, and Valerie Bowman of the Family Justice Center.
