Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Keller St. in West Monroe at approx. 9:30 p.m. Sunday evening, July 22nd.
Upon arrival, deputies determined a female victim had been shot in the hip and she was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Investigation thus far indicates unknown suspect or suspects fired a weapon into the victims residence, striking the victim once. No suspects have been arrested, the investigation is continuing. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
