Biblical stories may be familiar to most, but the work of printers and translators of Bibles through history is rarely known. Biedenharn Museum Executive Director Ralph Calhoun shares a number of compelling stories of their work in a presentation Thursday night at the museum's Welcome Center.
The journey begins with the background of a Wycliffe Bible. "The reproduction was a gift from Joe Biedenharn to his daughter, Emy-Lou," said Calhoun. "It was really the catalyst of the Bible Museum." Calhoun leads the audience through about 35 Bibles in the collection.
Following the presentation, guests will visit the Bible Museum and view many of the Bibles Calhoun shares about in the discussion. Biedenharn Museum and Gardens is located on the corner of Forsythe Avenue and Riverside Drive in Monroe. The program begins at 6:30 p.m.
