Raising Funds through Rendezvous

GO CARE
GO CARE: Greater Ouachita Coalition Providing Aids Resources and Education.

Sunday, February 26th the Red Carpet Rendezvous will be taking place at the West Monroe Convention Center from 7 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This gala-style fundraiser is coinciding with the airing of the 89th annual Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award show.

The Red Carpet Rendezvous will include dinner, a silent auction, viewing of the awards show, and entertainment. The event itself will be hosted by  Robbie Turner, one of the contestants on the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, and the board President of GO CARE, Davy Norris. Guests will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet and have their pictures taken in celebrity style.

The proceeds from this event go to support GO CARE's mission to provide prevention, education, and direct services to stop the spread of HIV and to assist those individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families. Along with providing care for those living with HIV, GO CARE has expanded its services to include individuals that are have faced challenges with healthcare as part of a minority group.

GO CARE opened its own medical clinic in 2015 and has provided services for over 300 people. The clinic allows people to come in for free HIV, Syphilis, and Hepatitis C tests. GO CARE saw a need in the Northeast Louisiana area for a safe place for people of the LGBTQ community to come and safely receive healthcare services.

Tickets for the event are $40 per person, and each table seats six people. Tickets can be purchased here.
