On Tuesday, April 14th, 90.3 KEDM Public Radio hosts “Policy And A Pint” at Avocado’s Restaurant in Monroe.

The discussion topic is Race Relations and Law Enforcement.  The public is encouraged to participate with questions and comments during the conversation.

KEDM News Director Bob Lenox moderates the event.  A panel of experts includes Dr. Robert Hanser, Criminal Justice Department Head at the University of Louisiana at Monroe; Michael Abrams, a member of the advocacy group, Innovative Leaders of Tomorrow; and Det. Ray Spoon, West Monroe Police Department.

The panelists provide insight on the policies and concerns related to the topic.

The “Policy and a Pint” series is designed to provide access to experts on community issues in a casual setting.

“Policy and a Pint is a chance to ask questions on topics that matter to our area. The conversation is robust, but the style is informal,” says KEDM General Manager Jay Curtis.

The forum is free and open to the public.

KEDM Public Radio—located at 250 Stubbs Hall on the University of Louisiana at Monroe campus—is a community partner dedicated to improving the quality of life in northeast Louisiana.
