Local Citizens Gather To Help Area Non-Profits

Jan 31, 2019

A fairly new organization is gearing up to fund 4 community organizations each year. Lead by Camille Pearce, the organization needs 100 people to donate $100 each in an effort to help a local nonprofit. The quarterly meeting will be held February 4, 6:15 p.m. at the Flying Tiger Brewery, 506 North 2nd Street in Monroe. All in the community are welcome including businesses. The meeting will last around 45 minutes and pizza will be served after.

The Children's Coalition of Northeast Louisiana, Habitat for Humanity of Ouachita, and the Community Emergency Shelter Fund by United Way are all sponsored to recieve money. Each organization will have a representative speak on behalf of its nonprofit. At the end of the night the donors will choose what group takes the money home.

100 Who Care was originally an idea that came from a group of women in Michigan and is now a global organization.
