The Northeast Louisiana Master Gardeners are having their 9th annual January gardening seminar and seed swap. On January 19, 7:30 AM until 1:30 PM at the West Monroe Convention Center, bring seeds to trade or just come for fun. The registration fee is $20, pre-registration is preferred. The legendary seed saver, John Coykendall will present "Seeds of the Past" as the keynote speaker and joining him will be Dr. Allen Owings and Larry Stephenson. Retired AgCenter horticulturist Allen Owings will discuss “Easy Seeding: Ornamentals to Greaux.” Owings currently serves as senior horticulturist at Bracy’s Nursery in Amite City. Mississippi nursery owner Larry Stephenson will present “The Apple Hunters,” sharing his passion for Deep South apple varieties.
