Bullying has become increasingly physically violent in women, according to Terry Driskill.

Louisiana Conference on Bullying and Teen Suicide is Thursday, September 13 at 9 a.m. at the Lincoln Parish Library Event Center in Ruston. The conference discusses different types of bullying, the causes behind teen suicide, and ways to help prevent the two from occurring.

Bullying is defined by three traits:

  1. Repeated behavior
  2. Intention to harm
  3. Imbalance in power (either physical or psychological)

According to Terry Driskill, there has recently been an increase in female physical bullying. His message to any student being bullied is to tell a parent or trusted adult at school. More information about bullying in schools is available here.
