LA Govenor John Bel Edwards will visit North Louisiana today to offically annouce the partnership concerns between LSU Health Shreveport and Ochsner Health System regarding the operation of two hospitals and the medical school in North Louisiana. He will hold a ceremony to begin the transfer of the Univeristy health hospitals in Monroe to Shreveport to Ochsner Heath System. This takeover begins on October 1, 2018.
