A Culinary Weekend for the Arts

Chefs travel from Jackson and New Orleans to participate in this year's festival.

The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council's third annual North Delta Food and Wine Festival kicks off Friday, October 13th, and stretches throughout the weekend to Sunday, October 15th. This festival will pair choice drinks, rich food, and live music.

The festival will begin Friday night at 6 p.m. at the West Monroe Convention Center. This culinary collaboration will include food from over 30 chefs from and outside of this region, fine wine and craft beer tasting, and live music performed by the Monroe Symphony Orchestra. The fun will continue at the Chef's After Party at SQ's at 9:00 p.m. This party will allow guest to meet the chefs participating in the weekend. 

The festival continues Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Brew on the Bridge. The Endom Bridge will be closed to traffic and open for samples during that time. There will be craft beer samples from the Flying Tiger, Ouachita Brewing Company, Marsala Beverage, and Choice Brands. Wristbands can be purchased on the bridge for five dollars to sample the different brews. After Brew on the Bridge, a Wine Pairing Class will be offered at Restaurant Sage at 2 p.m. Saturday will close with restaurants The Fat Pelican, For His Temple, and Chef Pat Nolan's offering specialties meals for one night only. 

Sunday, October 15th, the weekend will end with a Fried Chicken and Champagne Brunch at Bayou Roux from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. This brunch is a tradition of the Food and Wine Festival.

The proceeds from this festival will g otowards supporting the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council and allowing them to continue bringing arts into the region. More information on the North Delta Food and Wine Festival can be found here.
