Celtic Festival Showcases Heritage

Northeast Louisiana's Celtic Festival is ready to start its 13th year of celebrating Celtic culture.  Kiroli Park will be hosting this festival Saturday October 1, from 7 a.m to 10 p.m.

Tom McCandlish, membership director of the West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce,  says the festival is something many people look forward to each year. The festival features vendors along with traditional Irish and Scottish live music.  Bands featured this year include Smithfield Fair, Emerald Accent, and Jim Flanagan.

This year also introduces a new partnership with St. Baldrick's Foundation by hosting the "Brave the Shave" challenge to raise money to help conquer children's cancer.

The festival is free, but there is a $1 entrance fee into Kiroli Park.

More information about the festival is available on the West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce website.
