The English Speaking Union is having the annual Shakespeare Competition at 2 p.m. Sunday at Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts. The object of the competition is to enhance students’ appreciation and comprehension of William Shakespeare.
Students competing are the winners of contests at each of their high schools.
The winner will go on to the National Shakespeare Competition at Lincoln Center in New York City in April. The national winner will receive training at the British-American Drama Academy in England.
The event is free and the public is invited.
