"See There In The Distance" performance by Ruby Hinds

A one-woman multi-media program entitled "See There in the Distance," by acclaimed mezzo-soprano Ruby Hinds is Wednesday, February 27th, at the Johnson Temple Church of God in Christ in Leesville. The show chronicles the life and accomplishments of Marian Anderson, the first African American to sing at the White House and whose 1939 performance set the stage for the civil rights era. The performance is set for 7 p.m. Feb. 27 at 200 Nona Street in Leesville, La. There is an admission fee.
