The annual Marjorie Stricklin Emerging Artists Competition will be held January 12, 2013 in the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall on ULM's campus from 7:30-9:45 p.m. The Monroe Symphony Orchestra promotes and encourages excellence in musical performance and provides orchestral performance opportunities for youth and young adults residing in Louisiana. The preliminary round auditions will take place during the day and are open to the public free of charge. The Final Round of auditions, determining the competition's overall winners, will be presented in recital format that evening. Tickets are required for the Final Round.
