Keep Ouachita Parish Beautiful Recycling Collection Event
Keep Ouachita Parish Beautiful is hosting a recycling collection event at the Monroe Public Safety Center. The event is accepting paper, card board, plastics, old appliances, car batteries, electronics and tires.
The free recycling event is open to all residents of Ouachita and surrounding Parishes. Donations will be accepted, and volunteers are still needed.

Accepting Recycling Materials such as: Tires (please see the note below), office paper, magazines, card board, Plastics bottles, milk jugs, soda bottles, Plastic Number 1 and 2, white goods/scrap metal (old appliances, refrigerators, stoves, and hot water heaters), automobile batteries and electronic wastes (computers, monitors, assorted computer accessories, printers, scanners, fax machines, speakers, VCRs, DVD players, stereo equipment, TVs, game consoles, digital cameras, any audio or video equipment, radios, calculators, cellular phones, and accessories).
TIRES WITH UP TO A 20 INCH RIM DIMENSION WILL BE ACCEPTED. LIMITED TO 5 TIRES PER Participant and the tires must be off the rims.
THIS COLLECTION IS FOR HOUSEHOLDS ONLY. Large quantities from businesses,
farms, or commercial operations will not be accepted.
PROHIBITED Materials: household chemicals, pesticides, paints, stains, motor oil, infectious/medical waste, radioactive materials, compressed gas cylinders, ammunition, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and explosives.
