Homeward Bound Concert featuring Bonalyn Nelson Boyd
The Biedenharn Museum and Gardens features renowned soprano Bonalyn Nelson Boyd in a concert of classical and Broadway songs onTuesday, September 9 at 7 p.m. in the Fountain Room of the Historic Biedenharn Home.
Tickets for the concert are $15 per person.
The concert entitled "Homeward Bound" will include the music of Victor Herbert, Johann Strauss, Charles Gounod, Maury Yeston Craig Courtney and others. With selections from Opera to Broadway, Mrs. Boyd has designed a concert to entertain music lovers of all types.
Mrs. Boyd, a native of West Monroe, has made her mark on the musical world. Known for her soaring high notes and engaging style, Boyd has become a sought-after soloist in north Florida and Georgia.
Julian Jones will collaborate with Mrs. Boyd on the Biedenharn's 1929 Steinway Grand Piano.
Garden gates open for guests at 6:15. There will be a reception in the garden immediately following the concert. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the Biedenharn Museum Store.
