The first ever female brigadier general for the Louisiana National Guard is the featured speaker next Wednesday as the University of Louisiana at Monroe honors veterans.
All active and retired veterans who are current students or employees of the University of Louisiana at Monroe will be honored at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Scott Plaza near the ULM Library.
The ULM Veterans Day program will feature guest speaker and ULM sociology graduate General Joanne Sheridan (B.A. ’83), the first ever female brigadier general for the Louisiana National Guard.
Students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community are welcome to attend.
Kyle O’Neal the chair of the Veteran’s Day committee really wants this year’s ceremony to bigger and better than the ones prior.
