The University of Louisiana at Monroe recently acquired a new tool that can help in the study of geography – underground.

Chenoweth

The Department of Geosciences uses the ground-penetrating radar to help create maps of everything from water and sewer lines, to electrical cabling, and even grave sites.

Dr. Sean Chenoweth is an assistant professor that teaches students how to use the radar. He says the radar can be useful to any kind of business that deals with underground utilities.
