 Celebrating a Lifetime of Reporting

Rather
If journalism is "storytelling with a purpose," then Dan Rather is perhaps one of the most well-known storytellers in a generation.
Rather shared stories in a lecture entitled, “What I’ve Learned from a Lifetime of Reporting” at the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Presidential Lyceum
Unter Holland
Series on April 19.  He also spoke to a Master Class of students earlier that afternoon.
KEDM's Jay Curtis spoke with Dr. Kevin Unter, the head of the department of Gerontology, Sociology and Political Science at ULM. Unter serves on the committee that coordinates the Presidential Lyceum Series. He was accompanied by Alex Holland, a junior majoring in political science from Las Vegas, NV who attended the Master Class on Tuesday afternoon.

Honors Program Welcomes New Director
While some students are excited just to be going to college, a select group of students want to take their undergraduate experience to another level. The Honors Program at the University of Louisiana at Monroe works to offer that chance, with smaller classes, close interaction with faculty and extra challenges within class work.

Stockley Atkins
Dr. Joshua Stockley has recently been named as director of the ULM Honors Program. He’s an assistant professor of political science and teaches the Honors Social Science Seminar. Amber Atkins is a junior from Monroe majoring in business, and is pursuing a degree with honors.
