As part of our occasional series “Conversations with the President” on KEDM Public Radio, University of Louisiana at Monroe President Nick Bruno sat down to talk with Louisiana District 20 Representative Noble Ellington.

This summer, Ellington announced his retirement after 24 years in the Louisiana Legislature. He looks back on legislative acheivements, changes, and the prospect that the Louisiana House could have a near-complete turnover in members in just a few years due to term limits.

The month of August marks the beginning of a new academic year. Several years ago the University of Louisiana at Monroe began a series of events for the first week of classes to make students feel welcome.
