A Real Estate Transfer Tax: The Item of Amendment One

This Saturday, voters will decide Amendment One.  The measure seeks a state amendment to prohibit a real estate transfer tax.  Opponents say the measure is not necessary, and would only add clutter to the state's Constitution.  Proponents say the item would stem any possibility of local governments from seeking to impose a transfer tax.
