President's Podium 3-19-10 J. Scott Yaruss

A conversation with Dr. J. Scott Yaruss, featured speaker at the Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology Spring Conference March 18-19 at ULM.

Yaruss is an eminent researcher in the field of stuttering, particularly in the onset and development of stuttering in preschool children. He devotes much of his time to training speech-language pathologists in how to be more confident in their abilities to help clients with communication disorders.

Yaruss is an associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh and Co-director of the Stuttering Center of Western Pennslyvania. He has published more than 70 papers on stuttering and counseling in journals, books and newsletters, and presented approximately 200 workshops and lectures at local, national and international meetings.
