Jindal Targets Tenure Reform

As part of Governor Jindal's education reform proposals, teacher tenure would be reached at higher benchmarks.  The governor has delivered a few peppered comments about the current tenure system in recent gatherings.  Teacher union officials say the rhetoric could lessen the likelihood of positive discussions on the issue.  The reforms stand to bring significant debate of support and scrutiny, as laws over tenure would take a simple majority vote to pass or fail.
