Homeless Student Numbers On The Rise | 8-29-11

The national number of homeless students is closing in on a million.  Locally, the Monroe City School System has seen homeless student counts jump over the past three years.  Some experts believe the economic recession has given rise to the statistic.  As a new school year begins, homeless students prepare to cope with education.  KEDM's John Hughes reports from the Southern Education Desk.
