The Department of Continuing Education at the University of Louisiana at Monroe works to help continue the learning process for all ages.

Thornhill

Interim Director of Continuing Education Paula Thornhill says many online teaching tools at the university level were originally created for use with distance learning for adults. Marilyn McIntosh, coordinator of outreach programs, works with high schools on getting students involved in the dual enrollment program at ULM. She says it's important for students to recognize the advantages of earning college credit while still in high school.
